About Community Phone Company

Community Phone Company YC W19 built a simple cloud phone system for businesses that don't operate a call center.

Our solution lets a business get all modern voice features (re-route if busy, greeting menu and IVR, programmable caller ID, cloud voicemail, etc) on their existing office phone and existing employee cell phones. All employees onboard instantly, no wifi required, no app to download. Businesses should not be missing out on orders because they can only take one call at a time, and they shouldn't need an IT person in order to get a modern business phone system.

Community Phone is building the best phone for communities in America. We are your hair salon’s business phone, how your auto-body shop texts you or gets appointments, your local government agency’s operations line, and your mom’s phone that she sometimes answers on her computer. We have more than 20,000 customers today, and are building the missing phone. 

Our team is ~80 people strong, across 15 countries. We are growing quickly, backed by Y Combinator Accelerator and Y Combinator’s Continuity Fund. We are customer-obsessed to the core. When we had a major network outage, everyone from recruiters to engineers to marketers to customer support agents got on the phone with our customers. Our team exemplifies our purpose. 🌟 About the role

We are looking to expand our support team and are hiring Customer Support Representatives who love to delight our landline users. An advanced command of the English language is required for this role.

*We are currently only hiring in Alexandria and Cairo, Egypt. This will be an on-site position in an office working with our Manager of Customer Support. The position begins with two weeks of paid training.

  • Track customer concerns, identifying trends, and driving calls
  • Work Cross-Functionally to remove customer obstacles
  • Ensure every customer has an extraordinary experience
  • Understand why customers wish to cancel and working on solutions to keep customers satisfied
  • Listen for opportunities to Upsell our customers on additional products and services that will save them money and solve their issues

💰 Compensation:

We are hiring globally and paying $6/hour as a base salary with additional commission potential

📆  Shifts:

Our shifts are US timezone based, we are open every day from 9 am EST to 9 pm EST, you can expect to work on weekends on a rotating basis
