Job Overview

We are seeking a Web Automation Engineer to design, implement, and maintain automated testing frameworks across Landeed’s web and app platforms. You will be responsible for ensuring our customer-facing features—like instant property search, document uploads, and interactive dashboards—perform reliably and deliver a flawless user experience.

As a core member of our Quality Assurance team, you’ll collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and data engineers to create efficient, scalable test automation solutions. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys tackling complex user flows, streamlining testing processes, and delivering high-quality software at scale—all within a dynamic office environment.

Responsibilities

• Design & Implement Test Automation
  • Develop and maintain automated test scripts using Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, or similar tools.
  • Ensure robust coverage of critical workflows (e.g., property searches, user onboarding, document uploads).
• Test Strategy & Frameworks
  • Create comprehensive test strategies for web applications and microservices.
  • Build reusable automation frameworks to enable continuous testing in CI/CD pipelines.
• Collaboration & Documentation
  • Work with product managers and developers in our Hyderabad office to understand feature requirements and user stories.
  • Maintain clear and concise test documentation, plans, and reports to track progress and results.
• Debugging & Troubleshooting
  • Identify, document, and track defects with detailed reproduction steps.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to diagnose and resolve issues promptly.
• Performance & Security Testing (Plus)
  • Contribute to load, performance, and security testing efforts to ensure scalability and data protection.
  • Use tools such as JMeter, Fiddler, or Postman to monitor and analyze system performance.
• Continuous Improvement
  • Stay updated with the latest trends in test automation tools and best practices.
  • Proactively suggest improvements in testing processes to enhance product reliability and speed of delivery.

Key Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in test automation for web applications.
• Hands-on proficiency in Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, or Puppeteer.
• Strong knowledge of programming languages (e.g., Java, Python, JavaScript/TypeScript).
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or similar) for automated test execution.
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs and tools like Postman or Fiddler for API testing.
• Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies and QA best practices.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills to collaborate across teams and document findings clearly.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with performance testing (e.g., JMeter) or security testing.
• Exposure to cloud platforms like AWS, GCP, or Azure for running tests at scale.
• Familiarity with Docker or Kubernetes for containerizing test environments.
• Background in real estate, legal tech, or government data—understanding unique domain challenges.

Backend

Rust, gRPC, and PostgreSQL on AWS. We're building a next-generation API, prioritising good tools for getting code from local to prod with minimal red tape and review. We're also working on new tools like a dynamically created DAG of automated workflows that will pick apart and analyze ownership history, making the information immediately available to the user.

Frontend

React Native, Redux, CodePush, Detox, and RNTL. React Native has allowed us to prototype extremely quickly, taking an average of 3 weeks to release entirely new apps. We focus on ease of use and quick iteration, gathering feedback from users and pushing updates immediately with codepush. We've also developed a custom framework for forced updates when breaking changes are required.
