Role Overview

We are seeking a Founding AI/ML/LLM Engineer to join our pioneering team. In this role, you will work on advanced machine learning and natural language processing (NLP) models, leveraging large language models (LLMs) and big data to transform video analytics. Your work will involve translating cutting-edge research into performant, production-ready code to power our video understanding platform.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and deploy AI/ML models, with a focus on NLP and LLMs, to enhance video understanding and analytics capabilities.
• Translate cutting-edge research into scalable, production-ready implementations.
• Build and optimize algorithms for semantic search, query systems, and context-aware processing.
• Work with massive datasets to train, fine-tune, and evaluate models effectively.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to integrate AI/ML models into the product stack.
• Stay ahead of advancements in AI/ML research and apply the latest techniques to our platform.
• Contribute to technical publications or patents to establish thought leadership.

What We Are Looking For

• 3+ years of experience in AI/ML engineering with expertise in NLP, LLMs, and working with big data.
• Strong proficiency in Python and/or C++
• Strong understanding of LLM architectures, including transformers, fine-tuning, and model optimization techniques.
• Proven ability to translate AI research into high-performance production code.
• Experience with search or query technologies is a plus (e.g., Elasticsearch, Lucene, or vector search).
• Knowledge of building scalable, distributed ML pipelines.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to innovate in a fast-paced, startup environment.

Preferred Skills

• Published research papers in AI/ML or related fields.
• Experience with tools like TensorFlow, PyTorch, Hugging Face, or similar frameworks.
• Familiarity with cloud-based ML environments (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure).
• Expertise in optimizing AI/ML workflows for latency and scalability.
