Stable makes it simple to headquarter a business from the internet. Today, we provide companies with a business address and a dashboard to manage their physical mail online. Over 3000+ companies like Ethos Life, Hipcamp, and Indiegogo use Stable to automate their mailroom and act as their permanent business address with the IRS, state, and vendors.
Regulations for US entities were written in the 1800s and have changed little since. The result is a confusing system based on antiquated assumptions about the way businesses operate — requiring physical addresses, demanding wet signatures, and communicating through physical mail.
These rules don't make sense for the way we work today — work takes place in the cloud and businesses are no longer tied to physical proximity or geography.
We’re on a mission to fix the broken system of entity management. Starting with business addresses and mail, we’re abstracting the complex, archaic systems that make company-building painful and turning them into delightful experiences — so that modern businesses have the tools they need to move forward faster.
We're backed by leading Silicon Valley investors like Y Combinator, Craft Ventures, Shakti, Hustle Fund, and founders from companies like Lattice, Apartment List, and FlexJobs.
Our business is at an inflection point. We’re growing quickly with a product people love (NPS 75+) and we’ve proven we can service companies of all stages and industries — from early-stage startups to mid-market companies in industries like technology, logistics, and property management.
This is an opportunity to join an early-stage startup as one of the first employees and do work that directly impacts the future of how companies are built.
As Chief of Staff at Stable, you'll play a crucial role in shaping our future, offering direct support to our CEO + broader team, and driving strategic initiatives to ensure our vision is brought to life. We’re looking for a jack of all trades that can flex between both performing important strategic analyses and driving spotless execution in the weeds.
Stable has strong product-market fit and ambitious growth plans for the year — your success in this role will directly impact the company’s ability to execute on our goals. A few of your responsibilities will include:
Drive and execute on strategic initiatives — You’ll be handed ambiguous problems that will require qualitative (talking to users, research competitive landscape, etc) and quantitative (creating models, pulling data, etc) analysis to propose and execute on solutions. A few examples of the types of projects you may work on include headcount scenario planning, calculation of gross margins across different customer segments, and market research for a new launch.
Own internal operations and functions — You’ll be responsible for driving day-to-day execution, streamlining processes, and supporting the team across the people, finance, legal, and compliance functions. From ensuring vendors are paid on time, to planning team events, you’ll be running operational functions of the business until these teams are built out.
Support CEO responsibilities — No task is too small for you and you’re eager to support the CEO where she needs help including creating board decks, pulling monthly reports, and recruiting for key leadership hires.
This role is a great fit for someone that is invigorated about having a front row seat at a fast-growing startup. The ideal candidate has aspirations to one day start their own company or become a COO, and is motivated by the training ground this role provides.
Stable is simplifying outdated and convoluted regulatory frameworks with software. As an engineer on our team, you’ll help create elegant abstractions over archaic foundations so that consumers of this infrastructure can unlock solutions never before possible.
Your day-to-day work will directly influence how customers and partners interact with our products. Here are a few examples of the types of projects you’ll work on:
This role is ideal for engineers invigorated by solving difficult problems and by building software with a large impact. You’ll be one of the first engineers at an early-stage startup, and should be excited to apply your analytical, hacker-first, mindset towards problems of all types.
