We're the Robinhood for pre-IPO startups. We allow everyone to invest $100 in a startup they love.
Over the past five years, we've helped fund over 900 startups with $500m – including flying cars, space rockets, breweries, Hollywood studios, and potential Ebola cures.
We’re now doubling the size of our team to handle the growth. Trying to keep up!
We’re also a public benefit corporation with a mission of saving the American Dream (https://wefunder.com/charter). Our aim is to sprinkle the Silicon Valley fairy dust across the rest of the country, which often don’t have the same opportunities we take for granted.
Wefunder is the largest funding platform connecting founders with their community to invest. Over the past few years, we've helped fund over 2,000 pre-IPO startups with $600M+ of capital, from early-stage moonshots to unicorns.

Why Wefunder
Note: This position is based in Nashville.
Your potential matters more than your background or experience. We look for interns who want to punch above their weight, and level up fast. That means you’ll be working on projects you’re probably not qualified for, surrounded by smart people. If that sounds fun, read on.
Here are some things you might be doing day-to-day
- Speaking to 10+ founders every day. You should get energy from talking to dozens of founders every week, from every industry, across the US — from YC startups to breweries
- Coaching founders on best practices on how to run their Community Round
- Planning events where investors fund companies
- Extreme organization and ability to manage a high velocity pipeline; you are the one-stop-ship for founder onboarding
- Fostering strong internal relationships with different departments at Wefunder that support the founder experience. The person in this role will work with technical and non-technical people, and needs to be able to communicate across both.
Here are some things we think are important
- You live in Nashville and work directly with our VP of Sales (or Fundraising or Banter, whatever he feels like calling himself that day), Jonny Price.
- Strong people skills. You will be talking to founders all day, every day - the ideal candidate is someone who derives energy from these conversations. You should have a talent for making people feel instantly comfortable, heard, and understood.
- Learn quickly. There are tons of details to learn; securities regulations are quite complex and things change fast around here. You must be able to absorb and retain a lot of facts quickly.
- Organization and attention to detail. It's important that no balls get dropped when dealing with multiple projects and stakeholders.
- Responsible & accountable. If you say you will do it, you do it.
Some more about the role
- Immerse yourself in a small startup for 6 months, full-time. We'll pay $25/hr.
- We're a great training ground if you want to start your own company. Working at Wefunder is different than most jobs.
- You'll have the chance to learn a ton by just doing it. We brainstorm and collaborate, but don’t over-plan, over-think, or over-debate.
- We're also happy to teach and mentor. Give us your best, and we'll give you our best.
- We have a history of full-time offers for great interns that want to stay on board.
If you feel like you don't meet all of the points above, but love this role, we encourage you to apply anyways. We don't want a confidence gap and imposter syndrome to get in the way of meeting incredible candidates.
