POSITION SUMMARY

We're seeking a versatile Designer to join our team at Hudu to own the user experience (UX) and user interface (UI) of our various digital assets. You will collaborate on the design of our products, breaking down complex ideas, and turning them into simple, elegant, user-centric solutions. We want you to create intuitive, delightful, and seamless experiences for our customers. You will help conduct user research and conduct usability testing to ensure all designs meet user and client requirements, optimize services and products for a range of clients, develop mockups for the design and development teams, and assist sales and marketing with product images for GTM and product campaigns.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

• Investigating user experience design requirements for our suite of digital assets. Compare the user experience of existing applications and working to design better alternatives
• Designing UI elements and tools such as navigation menus, search boxes, tabs, and widgets for our digital assets
• Collaborating with product engineers and managers to illustrate design concepts, use sitemaps, process flows, and storyboards
• Collaborating with the marketing team, and internal and external designers to ensure the creation and delivery of tailored experiences for the digital user
• Testing UI elements such as CTAs, banners, page layouts, page designs, page flows, and target links for landing pages
• Keeping current with industry trends and competitor products, and communicating design prototypes and ideas to developers
• Providing advice and guidance on the implementation of UX research methodologies and testing activities in order to analyze and predict user behavior
• Adhering to style standards on typography and graphic design

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES)

• Bachelor’s degree in computer engineering, science, web design, or relevant field or relevant experience in a design role
• Minimum of four years’ experience in UI/UX design for digital products or services
• A portfolio of professional UI/UX design work for both web and mobile applications
• Experience with Graphic Design tools (Photoshop, Illustrator, Figma, InDesign, Sketch)
• Ability to problem solve and be self-directed, self-motivated, organized and disciplined
• Flexible and agile understanding of mobile + web best practices
• Knowledge of HTML/CSS is a plus, but not required
• Passion for delivering adaptive and creative solutions to UI/UX design problems by staying up to date with best practices and emerging trends in user experience design and user interface technology.
• Must possess proficient ability to communicate in English in oral and written format.
