About Camber

We’re on a mission to make behavioral health more available and accessible. We're backed by YCombinator, Craft, Zigg, and many others to make this dream a reality.

At Camber, we build software for behavioral health clinicians to improve quality of care. We streamline and replace manual efforts so clinicians can focus on what they do best: providing high-quality care.

Behavioral health is broken. We think this is a problem worth solving, and we think we know how to solve it. Interested? Check out https://jobs.ashbyhq.com/camber.

We’re deeply rooted in the intersection of healthcare and technology — the founders were previously healthcare consultants (at McKinsey) and all have technical backgrounds.

The engineering team brings a breadth of experience (AWS, Bloomberg, Palantir, Headway). Our head of engineering previously led a team of 10 at AWS and is invested in building a first-class team of engineers with a focus on developing a diverse, inclusive, and supportive culture.

We started Camber because we care about impact — the lack of supply for behavioral healthcare means those who need it most cannot access it. We see this as a once in a lifetime opportunity to fix a broken industry, and why we want you on this journey with us.

About the role

About Us:

Camber builds software to improve the quality and accessibility of healthcare. We streamline and replace manual work so clinicians can focus on what they do best: providing great care. For more details on our thesis, check out our write-up: What is Camber?

We’ve raised $50M in funding from phenomenal supporters at a16z, Craft Ventures, YCombinator, Manresa, and many others who are committed to improving the accessibility of care. For more information, take a look at: Announcing Camber

About our Culture:

Our mission to change behavioral health starts with us and how we operate. We don’t want to just change behavioral health, we want to change the way startups operate. Here are a few tactical examples:

  1. Improving accessibility and quality of healthcare is something we live and breathe. Everyone on Camber’s team cares deeply about helping clinicians and patients.
  2. We have to have a sense of humor. Healthcare is so broken, it's depressing if you don't laugh with us.

About the role:

We are hiring a product marketer who will build the narrative, positioning, and market understanding that fuels Camber’s next stage of growth. You will sit at the center of product, sales, founders, and go-to-market and give the company clarity on who we serve, what problems we solve, and why we win. You will define our product architecture, translate complex capabilities into simple stories, build competitive intelligence, and partner with sales to convert insight into revenue.

You need to be analytical, structured, and comfortable with rapid iteration. You will help shape how Camber explains itself to the market. You will operate as a fast moving swiss army knife who takes control of ambiguity, builds quickly, and drives work forward without waiting for perfect inputs.

What you'll do:

  • GTM and Sales Enablement
    • Develop pitch materials, one-pagers, talk tracks, and competitive content
    • Strengthen how Camber shows up across every touchpoint by driving clear, consistent messaging through the website, sales materials, and external content.
    • Drive launch readiness across sales, product, marketing, and founders
    • Build modular content that scales across segments and deal stages
    • Support additional GTM tactics including community marketing, events, analyst relations, and other programs that help expand Camber’s presence in market.
  • Market and Buyer Insight
    • Build a deep view of our TAM, ICPs, buyer needs, and deal patterns
    • Translate insights into messaging, product decisions, and GTM plays
    • Maintain up-to-date analysis of direct competitors, adjacent players, and industry shifts, run structured win-loss analysis
  • Positioning, Narrative, and Product Architecture
    • Define clear positioning that explains what Camber is and how it works
    • Own a scalable messaging hierarchy, product architecture, feature taxonomy, and internal language
    • Write crisp messaging that sales and founders can use consistently
  • Cross-Functional Leadership
    • Partner with product on roadmap clarity, feature naming, and beta planning
    • Support sales with clear tools that shorten cycles and increase win rates
    • Work with marketing to build campaigns rooted in insight and evidence

What we're looking for:

  • 3+ years of experience in product marketing, product strategy, or similar GTM roles
  • Experience in a fast paced, high autonomy startup environment, preferably in healthcare or AI
  • Strong writing skills and ability to synthesize complex ideas into simple language
  • Skilled at market research, competitive analysis, segmentation, and positioning
  • Comfortable working with founders and technical teams
  • Organized operator who pushes work to completion and raises quality
  • Thrives in a fast environment and takes initiative without waiting for direction
  • Preferred skills:
    • Proficiency in Figma for creating and editing pitch materials
    • Comfort with SQL for analysis and validation of product data
    • Experience with HubSpot or a similar CRM
    • Ability to build modular sales materials in PPT and Figma
    • Experience with market research tools and competitive intelligence platforms
    • Familiarity with basic analytics tools such as Looker or Tableau
    • Ability to run structured interviews with customers, prospects, and industry experts

Camber is based in New York City, and we prioritize in-person and hybrid candidates. Please refer to the top of this page for this position's hiring location.

Building an inclusive culture is one of our core tenets as a company. We’re very aware of structural inequalities that exist, and recognize that underrepresented minorities are less likely to apply for a role if they don’t think they meet all of the requirements. If that’s you and you’re reading this, we’d like to encourage you to apply regardless — we’d love to get to know you and see if there’s a place for you here!

In addition, we take security seriously, and all of our employees contribute to uphold security requirements and maintain compliance with HIPAA security regulations.

Overview

  • We’re building out a behavioral health operating system from the ground up. There’s so much in repetitive healthcare that can be improved and automated.
  • We’re focused on implementing the right building blocks (ask us about insurance change detection and patient payments), and using these blocks to continually build out more complex products (patient experience, scheduling, and revenue cycle management). At our current scale, we already handle tens of thousands of patient’s data — there are a lot of technical and product trade-offs to be made, and designing the “right” interfaces and is paramount. Oh, and scaling it to capture a $300B market should be a fun challenge!
