We work on the dexterity problem for humanoids

We’re building humanoid robots that can manipulate the real world with human-level dexterity. As a Mechanical Engineer at Proception (YC W25), you’ll own core mechanical design for our humanoid platform — from concept through production.

What You’ll Do

• Design and prototype mechanical systems for humanoid robots (hands, arms, torso, etc.)
• Work closely with electrical, software, and manufacturing teams to bring designs to life
• Iterate rapidly on design for performance, reliability, and manufacturability
• Support pilot builds and transition to mass production

What We’re Looking For

• Strong fundamentals in mechanical design, CAD, and mechatronic systems
• Experience with robot design, mass production, or soft goods (wearables, flexible materials, or similar)
• Bonus: familiarity with wiring harnesses, embedded electronics, or production engineering
• Hands-on prototyping mindset — you enjoy building and testing your own designs
