Clearly AI accelerates enterprise security and privacy reviews. Our platform helps users complete threat models, privacy impact reviews, and vendor risk evaluations in a fraction of the time. We are a seed-stage company of security and AI experts backed by strong investors including Y Combinator, Basis Set Ventures, and Argon Ventures.

Role Description

This is a full-time role for a Founding Engineer at Clearly AI. You will be responsible for designing and developing solutions to automate security and privacy reviews. Given the size and stage of our startup, you will have total ownership of significant portions of the product.

Location

Seattle, WA. We meet in person weekly. Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future.

Qualifications

  • 5-7+ years of professional experience developing software.
  • Strong proficiency in Python, Typescript.
  • Experience working with customers directly.
  • Experience developing full-stack web apps (APIs, webhooks, background workers, frontend).
  • Experience with devops, CICD, building on AWS.
  • Sound judgment using AI from auto-complete to vibe coding without compromising quality.
  • Experience integrating applications to products like GitHub, Google Drive, Jira is a plus.
  • Experience with security and privacy assessments, compliance standards (e.g. GDPR, HIPAA) is a plus.
