About Sample

Sample Healthcare is the fastest way for healthcare organizations to responsibly deploy AI in their operations. We help teams build custom copilots for their administrative tasks, like getting paid by health insurance, and then use the data from those copilots to fine tune task specific models.

About the role

What we build

Sample Healthcare helps healthcare providers build co-pilots for their most pressing internal operations. Healthcare enterprises use these co-pilots to immediately speed up their operational teams by 10x while collecting data to fine-tune models for clinical tasks.

To make this happen, we are:

  1. Building a visual programming language that allows our users to create these co-pilots.
  2. Becoming world-class at reasoning over medical records.
  3. Quickly and efficiently fine-tuning customer specific models on the data collected from these co-pilots.

We’re based in San Francisco, and are hiring an on-site founding engineer to join our team. We’re profitable and backed by some of the best founders & leaders in the industry, including Kulveer Taggar (CEO, Zeus), Zack Kanter (CEO, Stedi), Homebrew Ventures, Y Combinator, and great folks from Retool, Stripe, Ambience Healthcare, and Watershed.

What we look for:

  • Technical brilliance with a sense of craft
  • Rigorous curiosity about how healthcare could work
  • Intensity with humility

We primarily use TypeScript with Next.js for the core product with machine learning services run in a Python FastAPI service, though we don’t expect expertise in our stack.

Technology

Our application is built on NextJS with TypeScript. We also run services in a FastAPI Python server with custom & foundation language models.
