Monterey AI builds intelligent customer/user voice infrastructure for product operations teams in growth-stage startups. Monterey helps companies understand what actions to take to improve engagement and reduce churn, by auto-collecting and analyzing qualitative feedback and quantitive data from different sources.

We’re looking for a founding software engineer to join us to build the engineering foundations of Monterey.

• Lead full-stack development of an AI native Voice of Customer platform
• Directly drive the product roadmap and impact business metrics
• Define our engineering culture and build a world-class team with us
• Develop a strong intuition about customer needs

✨ Must Have

• Design and implement end-to-end features, as a proactive hustler and pick up new things quickly
• Think out of the box, and share our passion for empowering product teams with cutting-edge technology
• Enjoy and thrive in fast-moving startups and a highly autonomous environment
• Experience working with Typescript, Node.js, SQL, Redis, and AWS.
• A strong intuition about customer needs and obsessed with listening to users
• Strong problem-solving ability, on both front-end and back-end

🚀 Nice to have

• Experience building software centered around productivity, integrations, and automations
• Knowledgeable about infra and DevOps
• Experience working with Python and tools like PyTorch
• Excited about NLP, LLMs, and empowering people to do less rote work
• Experience at a high-growth, fast-paced startup
