What will be your charter:

• You will be responsible for building the simplest and most versatile live editing (’CRDT’) library. This is a hard CS problem and there has been a few solutions out there but they are not elegant and not simple. CRDTs is a hard problem but it becomes 10x harder if we optimize it to be extremely simple, fast and make it just fit into any product. And that’s exactly what we are solving for.

Sample projects you will work on during your first 2 months:

• Live state syncing when multiple clients are editing the same thing at the same time.
• Conflict resolution when multiple clients are editing the same thing at the same time.
• Version control.
• Undo-redo.

We are looking for the following four fits:

1. Startup stage fit:

• You have experience working independently with abstract problem statements.
• You have experience thriving in unstructured and ambiguous environment.
• You get excited about just delivering - whether it’s a juicy challenging problem or a dry boring problem.
• You have the ambition to be the best in your craft.

2. Problem fit:

• You are excited about the problem we are working on and have an opinion about the problem/solution.

3. Experience fit:

• You have overall SWE experience of atleast 3 years.
• You have worked at atleast one company for >2 years.
• You have deep understanding of modern web languages, API & frameworks.
• You have solid understanding of CS fundamentals - Data Structures and Algorithms;

4. Culture fit:

• You prioritize speed over perfection.
• You can explain difficult concepts to a 5 yr old.
• You are kind and can find common ground in difficult scenarios.
• You are hungry to learn and grow extremely fast.

We're building an SDK that adds a performant & robust multiplayer experience to any web app. We abstract away the infrastructure complexity for the developer. They have access to simple & beautiful APIs that gives them full control to make the UI feel native.
