Every year $2 Trillion is spent due to infrastructure failure in the energy sector. Gecko has developed wall-climbing robots and predictive software that dramatically reduce these failures.
We Make products for human-driven analysis of real-world data.
Who We Are
The mission of Gecko Robotics is to protect today’s critical infrastructure, and give form to tomorrow’s: refineries, power plants, heavy manufacturing facilities, vessels, water storage, and many more. We accomplish this through our robotics platforms in tandem with our enterprise software solutions, creating a virtuous cycle of data acquisition, processing, analysis, and decision-making. Our robots operate in some of the most dangerous industrial environments, collecting data of unprecedented value and magnifying the contributions of human experts, while keeping them out of harm’s way. Gecko is uniquely poised to maximize both the production and the useful life of the assets we rely on to meet the world's energy needs.
Big Data Meets the Real World
Gecko is a robotics company that started out in the hardware-rich world of Pittsburgh but was soon discovered by Y-Combinator and later FoundersFund. We build robots to go where humans can’t and are now embarking on a new chapter: building a software company inside our robotics start-up to scale and create value to solve the problems that hurt the infrastructure we rely on and put humans in harm’s way, problems that no one else has been able to solve. We want power plants to run instead of crumbling when they are needed; we want buildings, bridges, refineries, mills, and ships to serve their missions reliably as infrastructure we depend on every day. To do this we will empower humans to see what they’ve never been able to see, and simultaneously gain safety instead of having to put their lives at risk on ropes and inside vessels.
At Gecko, we are passionate about solving the real and highly challenging problems that face the infrastructure of our lives. We are creative engineers pressing hard where we know there is a much better way.
If these types of projects excite you, we'd love for you to join us.
The Role
Deployment Strategists build better business outcomes for our customers by creating new solutions in line with Gecko Robotics’ tech strategy. They have a nose for valuable problems and the ability to translate business problems into product vision, through extensive user interaction. Working closely with Forward Deployed Engineers, Deployment Strategists will break down goals in a way that maximizes chance of success, tracks velocity, manages risks, and charts the critical path. Deployment Strategists, by solving a specific version of the problem for a specific customer, also help to navigate Gecko’s platforms - Gecko’s tools that scale across customers.
