Legion Health is seeking an experienced and passionate Founding Senior Software Engineer (Full Stack) to join our rapidly growing team. In this role, you will work closely with the co-founders to define and execute our product roadmap, drive technical innovation, and build scalable, reliable, and maintainable software solutions to support our mission of increasing the capacity of the mental health workforce.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the co-founders, product managers, and other stakeholders to develop and execute the product roadmap.
  • Architect, design, develop, and maintain high-quality, scalable, and secure web applications using modern web technologies.
  • Continuously evaluate and improve the architecture, performance, and scalability of our systems.
  • Build and maintain technical documentation and diagrams for the codebase, APIs, and infrastructure.
  • Provide mentorship, guidance, and technical leadership to other engineers on the team.
  • Work with the co-founders to hire, manage, and grow the engineering team as the company scales.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience as a full-stack engineer with a focus on web applications.
  • Strong experience with TypeScript, Node.js, React, Redux, and Next.js.
  • Expertise in designing and building RESTful APIs, microservices, and cloud-native architectures on AWS or similar cloud platforms.
  • Strong understanding of software engineering principles, design patterns, and best practices.
  • Experience with agile development methodologies, continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines, and automated testing frameworks.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Passion for learning, staying up-to-date with new technologies, and sharing knowledge with the team.
  • Previous experience building and managing teams of software engineers is a plus.
