About the role

GoLinks is focused on building high-quality products with a focus on sharing internal knowledge for companies of all sizes. We are a product and business driven engineering team where your insights and experiences will directly affect the product roadmap and the future of the business. As one of the frontend engineers on our team, you’ll have the opportunity to collaborate with designers and other engineers to implement the user interfaces that define our core and beta products. Our engineers are encouraged to explore and solve open-ended problems while growing their technical knowledge. We are a supportive team that gets things done while having fun doing so. What you’ll do

  • Build and maintain new well-architected, secure, and maintainable product features, from start to finish, that are deployed on a regular basis
  • Conduct code review and participate in feature brainstorms to shape our product direction
  • Identify team-impacting problems, suggest solutions, and drive resolution
  • Effectively communicate technical issues to other product and engineering teams
  • Listen to customers and implement features based on customer feedback
  • Keep up to date with frontend engineering trends and best practices

Who you are

  • Front-end development. You are passionate about frontend technologies and continuously seek out opportunities to learn and apply your experience in this area. You are a recent BSCS graduate.
  • Javascript, HTML, and CSS. You are comfortable writing and reading these common front-end technologies and understand how they fit together.
  • React Framework. You are familiar with React and have used it in a working environment.
  • AJAX web applications. You have experience building Web Applications that communicate through AJAX to asynchronously obtain data for building a UI.
  • Security. You have a basic understanding of security risks when building customer-facing applications.
  • Proactive problem solving. You can decompose complex problems and work towards a clean solution. You're comfortable asking for help when you get stuck.
  • Strong writer. Strong writing skills are needed to be successful in order to effectively communicate in an asynchronous environment.
  • Nimble and agile. We’re in our early stages as a platform and company. We value team members who can move fast, fail forward, and be data-driven.
  • Quick learner and highly adaptable. You can pick up on new concepts quickly and are able to adapt easily to new processes and ways of thinking.

  • You have experience working with 3rd party APIs and libraries
  • You have experience with MySQL, PHP, or AWS
  • You’ve worked in a remote environment
  • You are familiar with Agile Methodologies

The annual base salary range for this role is $75,000-$115,000 USD. Actual salary will vary depending on various factors which include, but are not limited to a candidate’s skills, qualifications, and experience. As a remote-first company, we take a geographically-neutral approach to compensation and set our US range based on job function and level, regardless of location. GoLinks’ total compensation package for full-time employees include equity, and extensive benefits and perks as listed below.
