Our Product
Harmoney provides a single screen solution to market participants including mutual funds, banks and primary dealers to trade in fixed income securities. Harmoney replaces voice based trading and manual operations with an end-to-end trading platform.
The platform engineer will build and support the technology infrastructure that powers our trading platform. The platform engineer will work closely with development, operations and business teams to ensure high standards of performance, reliability and security
Responsibilities
The platform engineer will be responsible for the following
- Designing and implementing a scalable, high-performance architecture
- Managing and optimising the infrastructure required to support the trading platform
- Design of the database architecture and implementation of the caching systems
The platform engineer will be responsible for the performance, reliability and security of Harmoney’s systems
What we are looking for
- Prior experience: >2 years of experience in building technology products or backend infrastructure, preferably in fast-moving environments or startups
- Familiarity or ability to quickly learn new technologies
- Programming experience with at least one object-oriented language such as Java, C++, or Python is preferred
- Location: Mumbai (work from office)
Compensation: Mix of cash and ESOPs based on the candidate's background
The interview process is designed to evaluate your ability and cultural fit at Harmoney. We prefer hiring engineers who can execute their work independently and have strong problem-solving skills.
We have one phone screener followed by 2-3 technical rounds of interviews. The phone screener typically lasts 15 mins and will give you an overview of Harmoney, and ensure that your career goals are aligned with what we are looking for.
About the technical round
The technical round will evaluate analytical or problem-solving skills and coding skills. You can expect to write actual code during the interview in the language of your preference.
Each technical round lasts around one hour. These will be conducted by existing members of the tech team.
