About the role

Venue makes remote work more fun. We make creative tools for companies to bring their remote culture to life. Our first product transforms big remote meetings into interactive livestreams. We draw inspiration from spaces like streaming culture, Discord and TV broadcast production to create a place where teams can:

  • Reflect their unique personality and culture.
  • Create a vibe that’s fun, energizing, authentic and spontaneous.
  • Provide a safe and inclusive space for colleagues to interact how they want to.

The Role

We are looking for a Lead Product Manager that will help us define our product strategy, process, and product culture to get us to product-market fit.

Responsibilities

  • Product vision. Define and execute on the product vision, strategy and roadmap.
  • Metrics. Setting goals, defining metrics to track and monitoring performance. When do we have PMF?
  • Research. Build a deep understanding of our customer segments and personas
  • Talent. Lead our current design talent, and augment/expand it with your own network (whether full-time, freelance, or otherwise).
  • Ship. Lead a rapid and iterative process to test and rollout new experiences alongside our clients, engineers, and designers.

  • You have a strong work ethic, willing to do whatever it takes to deliver results

Qualifications

  • 3+ years in a senior or lead product role leading an important customer-facing product area, preferably in B2B
  • SaaS that involved a mix of strategy, roadmapping, feature definition, and driving key metrics
  • Experience with customer research, aggregating data, synthesizing feedback, and communicating product insights and strategy to a variety of stakeholders including executives, go-to-market teams, and engineers
  • Ability to engage in strategic discussions and determine tradeoffs, while driving discussions toward decisions

Technology
  • Typescript/React/Redux (plus many other libraries) for frontend, Ruby on Rails / PostgreSQL / Firebase for backend and data storage.
  • WebRTC (video/audio) and real time applications in large scale (hundreds to thousands of participants).
  • We believe in buy first, build next. We look for the best players in a space and integrate with them as soon as possible and make both the product and our partners look good.
