At Inspectify, we are a Y Combinator (S20) and Seed funded start-up focused on helping transition eager homebuyers into empowered homeowners through our home ownership platform. We do so through leveraging proprietary home inspection data. Our vision is to make home ownership simple by empowering homeowners with data and software.

At Inspectify, we are the world’s only vertically integrated property inspection platform. We are backed by some of the most prominent venture firms including Nine Four VC, Foundation VC and YCombinator (S20). Our platform streamlines inspections through our network of over 2,000 inspector partners in the US and Canada and proprietary inspection software that generates the “API of the Home”. 

We are looking for a Business Analyst to join the team! The best fit for this position is a strong collaborator; excited to partner with data, engineering, operations, finance and marketing teams while working closely with executive management. 

This role is a hybrid/remote role based out of Seattle and reports to our Head of Data.  

You will:

• Define and improve key metrics and executive reports, from requirements gathering through SQL coding and report / dashboard creation.
• Work with our Product team to proactively identify areas of opportunity in the business and drive revenue.
• Work with Data Engineering, for example to troubleshoot data quality issues and investigate customer support requests.
• Help build machine learning and computer vision models. 

You Have:

• 4+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, Data Analyst, Business Intelligence (BI) Engineer, or Analytics Engineer.
• Excellent SQL skills.
• Data visualization (e.g., metabase, reDash, Qlik, Looker, Power BI, Tableau).
• Working knowledge of Python for data manipulation (e.g., pandas) and machine learning.
• Excellent written, verbal, and visual communication skills.
• Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Bachelors degree in a quantitative field (e.g. science, engineering, economics, quantitative finance, operations research, statistics), or proven experience in the field.

Preferred

• Previous experience with or interest in Real Estate or Proptech.
• Experience with Postgres and any of RedShift, SnowFlake, Databricks, Spark SQL, AWS Glue, Hive, Trino, Presto or Athena.
• Familiarity with data ingestion / ETL / ELT tools like FiveTran, Stitch, Matillion, or Segment; and/or tools like Dbt, Airflow, Prefect, or Dagster.
• Ideally some familiarity with software development in Ruby or Typescript.
• French language proficiency.

Currently using Ruby on rails for backend and some frontend. React is used for any new frontend projects and we use React Native for our new Inspection Software application.
