Community Phone Company YC W19 built a simple cloud phone system for businesses that don't operate a call center.
Our solution lets a business get all modern voice features (re-route if busy, greeting menu and IVR, programmable caller ID, cloud voicemail, etc) on their existing office phone and existing employee cell phones. All employees onboard instantly, no wifi required, no app to download. Businesses should not be missing out on orders because they can only take one call at a time, and they shouldn't need an IT person in order to get a modern business phone system.
Community Phone is a venture-backed, Y-Combinator graduate with a simple mission: make the phone call more powerful. We believe the voice call has been left behind technologically. Why, when I call KFC to order fried chicken, am I told to download an app? Why not have the transaction occur automatically as a part of the voice call itself?
That is our product plan for 2022. In 2021 we grew 20%+ month-over-month growth and profitable channels that are ready for optimization and scale. Our team expanded from 5 people to nearly 50. Our customers now include KFC, AT&T, and GM (as well as consumers around the country).
Our investors are the same early investors in companies like Reddit, DropBox, AirBnB, Twitch, Lyft, and other successful startups. We are customer-centric and believe that happy customers are the best salesforce on the planet.
As a Community Phone Sales Representative, you will answer incoming calls from leads, understand their needs, match our products and services to those needs, and bring them to a close. You will think through our sales process, implement changes, and close. You need to be welcoming over the phone, happy to answer at least 30+ calls per day, comfortable using a CRM, and excited to bring telecom services to those who need them. You will also be hungry to make quota for weekly bonuses, and follow up with existing leads with urgency. (Making quota each week can double your yearly income).
· Feels personally fulfilled when helping those in need. · Is excited about contributing multiple years to a startup · 5+ years of sales and/or customer support experience using a CRM in a fast-paced environment. · Understands the commitment required in an early-stage startup, and the ability to adapt to change as we scale. · Proficiency in using computers, both for data entry, as well as for rapid navigation through systems, tabs and windows to search for information to help support our customers. · Ability to multi-task (e.g., maintain conversations while navigating multiple computer systems and inputting CRM data) and perform well in a fast-paced environment. · Is open to sharing ideas on how we can improve our training, processes or systems to improve our customer experience. · Self-starter, detail-oriented, organized with the ability to keep your digital life in order. · Adaptable, thrives working in a fast-paced environment and own outcomes. · Flexibility to work a rotating shift schedule, including weekends · Must bring proven ability to maintain confidentiality and secure sensitive information. · Experience with customer development · Exhibits patience with customers · Hungry to close qualified deals · Native or expert-level spoken and written English
