Enode is Plaid for energy. We build APIs that power green energy apps, helping consumers use more renewable energy and stabilize the grid.

Some of the largest and fastest-growing energy companies in the world, like OVO and David Energy, use our API to let consumers connect their EV and other energy hardware (DERs) to their apps and services. This enables valuable use cases like smart EV charging, where you automatically charge your Tesla when the price is low or when your solar roof is producing excess energy. Key to solving the largest problem we are facing right now, climate change.

To create this flexibility we need to connect to and control the fast-growing demand coming from electric vehicles, heat pumps and other energy hardware. Connecting to and controlling energy hardware is precisely what we are doing at Enode. Our APIs powers the next generation of green energy apps and services, reaching over 60 million consumers world wide.

We already have a global presence with customer in 7 countries across Europe, US and APAC. Yet, we are only at the beginning of our journey - now we need exceptional people to join our growing team!

What we're looking for

Enode is looking for a Strategy and Business development Manager that can further accelerate our growth. In this role you will core part of our small and fast-moving go-to-market team, covering strategy, pricing and new business in Europe, the US and other markets where Enode is active.

You will own all parts of the business development process, all the way from market analysis through go-to-market strategy and closing new partnerships. In the process you will hopefully build lasting and valuable relationships (and even friendships) with stakeholders in the global energy market.

As an early member of the go-to-market team, you will have a huge impact in the trajectory of the company. As we scale as a team you will need to learn new skills and take on new responsibilities, giving you insight into all parts of the business development process at a fast growing startup. You will work closely with CRO and co-founder Thorvald and the rest of the go-to-market team to reach our ambitious goals for growth and customer success.


  • Development of Enode's go-to-market strategy
  • Find and develop new business opportunities, using all your skills and creativity
  • Own accounts for for everything from large utilities to fast growing energy startups in the core markets, US and Europe
  • Develop relationships with key people at prospective customers within the areas of electric vehicles, demand response, grid management and customer engagement
  • Transition new customers over to the customer success team for onboarding

About you

To succeed at Enode you should be mission driven and have an urge to fight climate change. Further you should be excited about the electrification of transport (meaning all the new cool EVs that are coming out) and the opportunity to use energy hardware to solve grid challenges in the transition to a renewable energy system.

You are a problem solver by nature and someone who can adapt to changing circumstances. You are a people's person who can identify and understand the customer's problems and help them solve it, either with our products or some other way. You are organized and used to handling a large number of high stakes relationships, and moving them forward.

As with many startups, you should be ready to get your hands dirty and not expect someone else to fix menial tasks for you. You should be excited about being part of a fast growing startup where roles and responsibilities can change fast as we scale. There is no limit to how far you can go and how fast you can grow at Enode.

  • 3+ years experience as a problem solver (Startups, Consulting, B2B Sales)
  • Experience with (or high interest for) renewable energy, utilities, energy suppliers, electric mobility or demand response
  • Excellent communication skills, oral and written (English)
  • Organized and independent
  • Proven record of building lasting relationships in business
  • Understanding of APIs, B2B sales experience and energy market knowledge is a bonus
