Airbyte is an open-source data integration engine that syncs data from applications, APIs & databases to data warehouses, lakes, and other destinations.
Airbyte is the open-source standard for EL(T). We enable data teams to replicate data from applications, APIs, and databases to data warehouses, lakes, and other destinations. We believe only an open-source approach can solve the problem of data integration, as it enables us to cover the long tail of integrations while enabling teams to adapt pre-built connectors to their needs.
Within just 18 months, we've built 150+ connectors and we've had 9,000+ companies syncing data with us. We've raised $181M from some of the world's top investors (Benchmark, Accel, Altimeter, Coatue, Y Combinator, etc.) and believe in product-led growth, where we build something awesome and let our product bring the users, rather than an outbound sales engine with cold calls.
Airbyte is remote friendly, with most of the team still based in Silicon Valley. We’re fully transparent as a company. Our company handbook, culture & values, strategy and roadmap are open to all.
Opportunity
The Airbyte UI team owns Airbyte’s web frontend, which is the main interface used to configure and inspect your ETL pipelines and data integration happening via Airbyte.
The UI plays a crucial role in onboarding and enabling new users, as well as giving all users the ability to gain insights and supporting them keeping their data integrations running day by day.
As an engineer on the team, you will define the future of the UI, contribute to Airbyte’s growth by improving the user experience and usability, and extend and improve the product to become the leading data integration platform.
You’ll work with a tech-stack based on TypeScript and React, talking to Airbyte’s platform written in Java.

The platform is built in Java, but connectors can be built in any language, as they run as Docker containers. Most of our connectors are actually built in Python today.
