MISSION

You’ll be responsible for owning high impact candidate searches for the engineers, product and technical project management roles that power our business.  You will also focus on identifying, attracting, and engaging with high caliber technical talent to build an evergreen pipeline.  While your core focus will be managing the recruiting process, you will be continuously improving the candidate experience, internal systems and processes, and employer branding, and working closely with key leaders throughout Gordian.

Technology

Our core services are built in Python, Flask, Postgres, with Redis on the backend and React on the front end. We have some services in Node, Express, Vue, and MongoDB. We deploy on Heroku, Netlify, and AWS. Some interesting problems we're solving:

  • Tracking millions of dollars of complex financial flows between travel companies and airlines
  • Scalability - our monthly growth rates require us to continually think and make technology decisions against an ever increasing number of users, partners, and API requests
  • Expanding the number of products we offer, building in-house ancillary products from end to end
  • Anomaly detection across airline/travel website pairs. Many times we tell airlines they are down before they know
  • Data modeling to provide a simple, clean API format across 140 airlines' different product sets.
Interview Process

Our vetting process is short. We do all of this over video calls:

  • Initial Call (30 min)
  • Technical Interview/Case Study (60 min)
  • CEO Interview (60 min)

Then we ask for a reference, visit with them and make a decision.

For candidates we want to make offers to, we set up a number of meetings so you can get a better sense of the team and company. We recognize that our lean interview process lets us move fast, it's helpful to meet more team members and hear more about the company when deciding if it is a right fit for you.
