MISSION

The Strategic Partnerships Lead will own part of Gordian’s global portfolio of travel website partners and will design and lead our strategy for onboarding, managing and growing with our current partners. This role is a cornerstone of our commercial team and is responsible for new customer and product launches, revenue generation and customer experience.  An examples of high impact goal you would own includes expanding business with our largest customer by enabling them to sell novel ancillary products in markets across the globe for diverse populations.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 2+ years of high-paced customer-facing business experience

  • Experience with scoping, configuring, and managing complex systems and processes 

  • Passion for solving complex problems

  • Data-driven problem-solving capabilities

  • Experience as an overall customer-facing “athlete” in a startup environment while wearing multiple hats (or otherwise yet-to-be-defined roles)

  • Proven ability to manage high complexity projects

  • Prioritize customers for product launches, testing,  and improving our customer experiences

  • Highly skilled at relationship building and communicating technical concepts

  • Creative thinking and development of innovative business solutions

  • High EQ and ability to lead as needed

  • Motivated by a fast-paced, high impact environment

  • Proactive and comfortable operating amidst ambiguity

  • Clear communicator with a bias to collaborate

Technology

Our core services are built in Python, Flask, Postgres, with Redis on the backend and React on the front end. We have some services in Node, Express, Vue, and MongoDB. We deploy on Heroku, Netlify, and AWS. Some interesting problems we're solving:

  • Tracking millions of dollars of complex financial flows between travel companies and airlines
  • Scalability - our monthly growth rates require us to continually think and make technology decisions against an ever increasing number of users, partners, and API requests
  • Expanding the number of products we offer, building in-house ancillary products from end to end
  • Anomaly detection across airline/travel website pairs. Many times we tell airlines they are down before they know
  • Data modeling to provide a simple, clean API format across 140 airlines' different product sets.
