As an Engineering Manager, you will own and drive delivery of quarterly and shorter-term objectives, provide technical leadership to major projects, contribute to product strategy and help develop your team
Responsibilities:
- Develop high-impact features end to end on web and mobile
- Act as a tech lead and support hiring, retention, and team growth
- Create and analyze A/B tests for new features
- Work closely with PMs and designers to find the right approach to build a feature
- Provide feedback to engineers in the form of code reviews and comments on technical documents
- Provide technical expertise throughout the product lifecycle including design, implementation, and delivery of scalable services and infrastructure
Who are you?
- 7+ years experience
- Must be hands-on and coding 60% of time with strong engineering fundamentals
- Experience with relational or NoSQL databases (MySQL, Elasticsearch, Redis, Neo4j)
- Has worked in agile, fast-paced environments, with distributed teams
- Soft skills: Strong English communication (written and verbal), strong ownership, organized, fast, collaborative
- Team lead and mentorship experience
- Recruiting experience (sourcing, interviewing, offering, etc) is ideal
- Full-stack engineering and good experience working on both front-end and back-end technologies
- Our tech stack: Python, Django, React/React Native, AWS, MySQL.
