At Taplytics we’re building software for teams like our own. Our product team gets to use our own tools day-in and day-out. We find it extremely fun and rewarding to build something to make our own lives better, as well as the lives of our friends and colleagues.

About the Role: Director of Product  

Creating a successful product in the software business is a huge challenge, and for us, it’s been such a rewarding experience. Over the past few years, our powerful feature management and experimentation technologies have been applied to a much broader scope, allowing large enterprise businesses to test and deploy all sorts of digital experiences. But wait until we show you what we’re working on next!

Today we have a software development team of 20 engineers developing at full-speed. With such a large, successful and senior team working away, it’s time for us to invest in our product management function to match it. That’s where you come in to help grow and nurture the team so they can continue to ship products that users love. 


We are off to a great start with a strong product/market fit, strong revenue/financials, a great culture and mentors who you’ll love to work with. Come join our team and help us build the next generation of Taplytics. 

How you’ll make a huge impact:

  • First and foremost be an incredible product manager yourself: Translate our company’s vision into a workable product by prioritizing the various components we need developed, balancing client needs with business needs.
  • Build out a professional product management function around you.
  • Lead the ideation, research, design and further development of our products.
  • Own the development and communication of our product roadmap & strategy.
  • Oversee the effective planning and assignment of product tasks and deliverables.
  • Ensure the effectiveness of our sprints and evaluate results.
  • Make sure the product function is often openly communicating with other business leaders in our marketing/sales organizations and Engineering.
  • Work closely with the CEO/Co-Founder and Engineering leaders.
  • Develop and manage our existing UX and Product team, and build the team to meet future demand. 

What an incredible candidate looks like:

  • Experience in leading and inspiring your product team to ship great software products.
  • 8+ years of experience in product management overall.
  • A track record of gaining the trust and respect of others in a company where folks are heavily invested in getting this right.
  • Using data to make an informed decision when it comes to product prioritization. 
  • Effective communicator and can collaborate across different teams such as engineering, marketing, and sales to work towards a common goal.
  • Sustained experience in managing multiple products and teams.
  • Entrepreneurial drive and demonstrated ability to achieve stretch goals at a fast-moving company.

Bonus if you have:

  • Strong interest or passion in modern product development tools or platforms. 
  • Past experience or educational background in software engineering.

Taplytics is growing and is looking to increase the team’s experience base by adding senior engineers. This is a chance to both be a leader on our small team as well as tackle the huge challenge of managing our user scale.

We operate using a micro-service architecture with many services built using Node.js and Python. Our micro-services are powered by various backend systems, including: MongoDB, Redis, Kafka, PostgreSQL, and ElasticSearch. We run at petabyte scale delivering experiences to billions of devices, requiring unique scaling solutions. Our systems are hosted across AWS / GCP using Docker Containers and Terraform. We are consistently iterating and improving our systems and workflows to improve how we develop code with a focus on producing the best product possible.

Our modern web front-end is built using the latest React.js tools, including Redux and Webpack with server-side rendering. We are continuously building on a very advanced web dashboard with interactive interfaces to modify the layout of mobile applications in visual A/B Test Experiments, develop rich messaging campaigns across many platforms, and new interfaces for seamlessly connecting together all functionality in our platform.
