We're looking for an Account Executive to join our founding team at Paragon! You will help us grow by partnering with SMB and mid-market customers while helping us shape the team culture and work environment from ground zero. As our first sales hire, you will work directly with the CEO and be responsible for designing and implementing changes to our sales and broader GTM strategy on a regular basis - if that idea sounds exciting to you, we'd love to chat!
You'll work with in our beautiful, dog-friendly office in West LA. If you're currently based somewhere else in the US, you can also work with us remotely or we're also happy to sponsor your relocation to LA.

What you'll do
Qualify and prospect leads from inbound marketing channels and free trial signups Complete ownership of a customer from introduction, demos, solutioning conversations, proposals, and closing new business ($5-50k ACV), while concurrently spearheading expansion opportunities with existing customers Meet quarterly and annual sales goals by developing an account strategy and pipeline, managing internal and client processes, maintaining sales reports, and developing market and competitor knowledge Work closely with Sales Engineers to ensure Paragon customers achieve successful implementations Work closely with CEO to develop and refine the sales playbook, regularly iterating and experimenting with changes to our sales and broader go-to-market strategy.
Who you are
- 3+ years in a sales role at a B2B SaaS company with quota
- Affinity with software and software development - ability to understand and clearly convey complex topics to a technical audience (e.g. CTOs and engineers)
- You are obsessed with making customers happy. You know that the slightest trouble in getting started with a product can ruin customer happiness.
- Confident working in a high-autonomy, fast-paced environment where you'll be responsible for decisions that influence the direction of the company
- Bonus points if you have experience selling API / devtools products at an early-stage, venture-backed company
