You are a proven marketplace operator with a knack for streamlining processes, building world-class teams, and leading aggressive growth without compromise. As the Head of Operations, you will work directly with the founders to refine Shef's operating model and to expand our impact. You will be an early leader at Shef, building the company's foundation, hiring strong talent, and paving the way for the future of the company.
1. Lead Shef's aggressive market expansion, ensuring operational excellence and iterating on our expansion playbook.
- Recruit, retain, and develop a world-class operations team to lead the expansion of the platform across the country.

Lead the organization with coaching, prioritization, clear communication, a hands-on approach. Lead with empathy and decisiveness.
Execute and iterate upon our ground operations model to ensure the company is delivering the highest service at a scalable cost.
Build data infrastructure for predictable forecasting and manage these key outcomes across markets
> GMV and growth rate
> Supply count and retention

2. Build a world-class operations organization, leading organization planning, recruitment, and being the organization’s primary leader.
Create a hiring plan and lead recruitment of operations org.
Find and execute ways to make onboardings more delightful and effective.
Be a culture leader that instills Shef’s values and mission into each team member.
Be a leader for the organization

3. Create a data-driven framework to evaluate existing ground operations model and lead any necessary changes to improve delivery performance and costs.
Create a framework for evaluating ground operations efficacy and lead efforts to improve efficacy.
Create benchmarks for delivery performance and cost effectiveness that will drive decision making and financial modeling.
Lead changes across the organization to improve performance in these key areas.
Build a culture of knowledge sharing across the organization + work with product and engineering teams to implement change.
Build a culture of testing and iteration within the operations organization.
WHAT MAKES YOU A STRONG FIT
10+ years of operations experience, with 6+ years experience leading operations at a consumer-facing marketplace company.
Track record of executing a bottom-up, go-to-market strategy with tight feedback loops.
Track record of managing high-velocity go-to-market playbooks for other marketplace companies.
Track record of successfully managing individuals and coaching them into leaders.
