We started Routable due to our personal experiences scaling business payments.
Having built in-house solutions, custom integrations to accounting software, and understanding the importance of payments visibility to entire teams, we decided to devote our time to ensuring that companies can be set up with a solution that works for their finance and accounting needs today and in the future.
Routable is a B2B payments platform built to make bill payments and mass payouts fast and seamless. Our mission is to be the simplest way to send and receive business-to-business payments. Unlike other payment platforms, Routable’s modern, easy-to-use API allows you to build a powerful payments infrastructure in minutes.
We’re a Series A startup with $16M in funding from Addition (led by Lee Fixel), Y Combinator, Founders Co-op, Box Group, Liquid 2 Ventures, and many others. We’re helping some of the largest marketplaces and gig economy companies, including Ticketmaster, Snackpass, and Garmentory. About the Role
We pride ourselves on releasing great code that’s bug-free, at a fast pace. To do that, we built a stellar Quality Assurance team. The Quality Assurance team works closely with the Product and Engineering teams to build products that deliver high quality product features and delightful user experiences.
Responsibilities
- Build and lead a team of highly performant QA/SDETs
- Create processes, mechanisms and tools that shape product delivery
- Manage the automation roadmap
- Improve and maintain product quality through process and automated testing
- Collaborate with the Product team on bug prioritization process
- Partner with the Engineering team to develop and maintain functional, regression, integration and/or end-to-end testing
- Manage ambiguity and energize the team to stay focused on short-term and long-term goals
- Own the metrics for success. Define, measure and report on these metrics. Make decisions based on this data.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
- 5+ years as an Automation Engineer, SDET, or Software Engineer
- 3+ years as a manager or quality assurance team lead
- Demonstrable ability in writing software in Python/JavaScript (or similar language)
- Experience using automated testing tools, like TestCafe, Selenium, JUnit, Cypress, Appium, XCTest
- Experience creating and maintaining software automation pipelines and applications
- Experience writing end-to-end test flows such as authentication, form filling, email validation, API flows, etc
- Experience scripting test automation suites for unattended execution
- Experience in black box and grey box testing methodologies
- Communication skills are also highly important, as you will be responsible for accurately detailing defects and issues to your fellow engineering team members
Location
You must be currently authorized to work in the United States or Canada on a full-time basis.

Reporting
The QA Manager reports directly to the VP of Engineering.

We’d rather invest money into memorable team events rather than expensive offices. During our meet-up team time, we love to spend time learning a new skill together, and solving problems. Most recently this has taken on the form of a bread-making class and defeating an Escape Room. Yeah.. We love to compete together as a team.
