Legacy is the fatherhood company. We are building an online fertility clinic to help men test and preserve their fertility without stepping foot in a doctor's office. We offer mail-in semen analysis, sperm cryopreservation, fertility improvement plans, and teleheatlh.
Infertility affects about 1 in 7 couples. For too long, infertility has been considered a "women's issue" while men are just as likely to be the cause. Our goal is to build a norm where a semen analysis is the FIRST port of call for couples, with a solution that is cheaper, more convenient, and more personalized than going to a clinic. This ultimately reduces fertility costs for all because an inexpensive semen analysis can identify the cause early on and prevent unnecessary fertility treatments.
The company was founded at Harvard by a team of healthcare and fertility experts, raised its last round of funding from Bain Capital Ventures and Section 32, and is growing 20%+ month on month. Above all else, we're looking for someone who has worked at a Series A/B/C startup as a VP Eng or as a CTO. Ideally, you will have worked your way up to the CTO role and lived different tech roles within a startup. Ideal candidate has 5+ years of experience at startups.
In particular, we've already hired a superstar engineer through our own networks. As we shift away from using contractors and towards building out a full-time team, we need to keep the bar high. An effective CTO will be able to identify and help recruit top talent in addition, set high standards and hold others accountable, and effectively translate our business strategy into a tech team that can get it done.
Our tech stack is primarily PHP (Laravel) with Vue JS and Nuxt PHP.
