About the role

At Standard Cognition, we’re rethinking the way retail works. We are enabling autonomous checkout for brick & mortar retailers with our AI-powered computer vision platform. Since launching in November 2017, Standard has contracts with multiple global retailers and is in the process of deploying our Standard Checkout solution across thousands of stores globally. We’re backed by some of Silicon Valley’s leading investors including CRV, Initialized, Draper Associates and YCombinator. We announced our Series B in July 2019.

We are looking for a new member on the Verification Team, part of our Data Operations Team, to help manage the oversight of our company’s operations at client sites across America. The Verification Team handles operations related to the day-to-day management of our various customer sites.

The Site Operations Coordinator will be heavily involved with the day-to-day operations of our sites and system running live. The role will be a point person for communication among the team internally and the customer experience. There are two general areas of focus for the work. (1) The oversight of the live operations through various monitoring tools. (2) The second involves ancillary tasks that consist of information collection, organization, and tracking in order to improve and optimize our processes and system. Due the nature of tasks like these, we are afforded the unique opportunity of being involved at many points along our company wide process and collaborate in a variety of ways through idea generation, design, testing, use, and feedback.

This is a remote CONTRACT role located on the East Coast of the US.

What you'll do here:

Work with a dedicated part of our team to ensure successful operation of various client stores on a daily basis. Keep direct eyes on our live site operations to maintain functionality and communicate with cross-functional teams. Assist in the resolution of issues encountered by our core operations team through facilitation of communication between involved parties and application of predefined SOPs. Help improve our tools and processes through consistent feedback, information gathering, analysis, and input on the direction of design. Gather and analyze data and examples important to the work of cross-functional teams. Track ongoing system bugs and collaborate with engineers to resolution. Who you are:

You want to learn, and you use your inquisitive nature to find solutions. You use critical thinking to help find, organize, and suggest information that may not be directly requested. You thrive in an autonomous work environment. You are a proactive over-communicator and problem-solver.
