Athelas is hiring a growth-focused Systems Engineer looking for an opportunity to apply their background to the full-stack to support commercialization of next-generation AI-enabled medical devices. Athelas is looking for builders who have an eye for simple, scalable solutions and the adaptability to switch hats from product to process rigor. Hands-on team players with a mindset for continuous improvement and a drive for excellence will become leaders in the Athelas environment.
*Develop new low-cost sensing technologies (electroseparation, etc) and develop architecture for sensor fusion. *Embedded sensing and software design, development and debugging preferably on ARM-linux based platforms using Python. *Participate in hands-on hardware bringup, system debugging, and code optimization. *PCB Assembly design. *Work with software engineers to define System Architecture, interfaces and requirements. *Research & develop new low-cost sensing technologies and develop architecture for sensor fusion. *Lead test engineering activities for validation and reliability.
*Bachelor or Masters degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering.
*1-5 years work experience in design or development of embedded systems.
*Extensive Programming in Python, C, or equivalent. *Familiarity with embedded communication protocols - UART, SPI, I2C, MIPI. *Board-level PCBA experience including Altium or equivalent. *Released product into production with annual volumes of greater than 100 units/ year.
*Experience in one or more of these areas: sensors, cameras, and associated algorithm development.
*Experience in computer vision applications.
*Communication protocols: WiFi, Bluetooth.
*Work experience with code coverage tools.
