At Clipboard Health (YC W17) we work with healthcare facilities such as hospitals, assisted living facilities, and rehab centers to provide on-demand nursing staff. We are a fully remote team that is humble and hardworking. We think this is the best way to improve a ton of lives. Nurses will have better schedules and shorter commutes, and patients will receive better care.

We're Clipboard Health, a marketplace through which nurses work extra shifts at health facilities that need temporary staff. Our mission is to enable the millions of nurses to work when they want to, where they want to. The problems we need to solve daily are complex, challenging and highly impactful. We are currently live in 4 geographic regions, and are looking for a product-oriented Director of Engineering who can help us scale our company to the next level.
You will:
- Help build and shape the culture of our team from the ground up
- Develop core infrastructure and influence the direction of product
- Take responsibility for the quality and performance of the code you own
- Continuously improve our codebase with your presence
- Strategically guide product decisions
You are:
- A full-stack generalist with deep experience building web applications
- You have started something on your own before - a startup, an open-source project, or something else
- Good at UX design. You understand how users interact with products and can cater to their needs -Comfortable working with everything from CSS and React to web crawlers and databases
- Excited to move quickly and know how to prioritize and make critical decisions
- Unafraid to make mistakes
